Why FireLight?

But the hour is coming, and is now here, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth, for the Father is seeking such people to worship him.  God is spirit, and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.”  John 4:23-24 (Emphasis mine)

Fire represents a burning, intense passion for Jesus.  The heart aspect… Spirit of worship.

Light represents a radiant, diligent passion for the Scriptures.  The head aspect… Truth of worship.

Discipleship

regularly learning and growing deeper together through: *prayer with and for each other as well as others *studying the biblical foundations of worship (i.e. expressions, doctrines, and forms) *beholding Him to cultivate the awe, wonder, and utter dependency upon His abiding presence that fuels our worship.

Training

encouraging and even providing avenues and opportunities to develop God given talent vocally and instrumentally. Creating a culture of constantly improving not for personal achievement or gain, but to glorify the Lord.

Leading

looking at everything we do as opportunities to engage in worship and shine His Light.  Providing regular worship and prayer opportunities to express back to the Lord the love He has poured out on us. Not looking at Sunday mornings as the ‘main event’ and the reason we practice, but seeing and creating a time to worship in any given situation whether spontaneous or planned.
